I recently bought a Renault Clio registered October 2018. I have been looking around to see if I can get Android Auto to work on my Multimedia system, however it seems that the MediaNav Evolution v2 is the only way for me to get Anroid Auto.
Firstly, is what I just said above true?
If so, is there a way I can upgrade my current MediaNav Evolution system (version 1 or system version 9.1.3) to the v2? I have attempted to use the new toolbox application but it does not seem to pick up my USB, however the old toolbox application for upgrading MediaNav Evolution v1 does.
Bought a Renault Symbol last week (kind of a Clio sedan), by date it’s 2020 and no one told me I couldn’t use Android Auto.
Yes this is ridiculous. Renault claim I can’t retrofit the evolution 2.0 unit into my 2017 captur even though the unit looks the exact same size and same faceplate and goes into the 2018 captur which has the exact same middle console. Its stupid we can retrofit an aftermarket unit with aerpro but not a genuine renault unit. RENAULT PLEASE EXPAIN THIS.
Same issue here, I just got my Clio, also registered October 2018. How to upgrade/update to MediaNav 2.0 to get android auto working. The garage said they couldn’t do it.
